Stump grinding mechanically grinds a stump down below ground level, leaving the area ready for grass, paving or planting without digging the whole root system out.
Leftover stumps are a trip hazard, get in the way of mowing, and can look untidy in an otherwise finished garden.

A grinding wheel works down through the stump and upper root system, reducing it to wood chips that can be removed or left to break down naturally.
Grinding is generally quicker and less disruptive to the surrounding area than digging a stump out whole, which is why it is our most common stump service.
Expect a shallow depression filled with wood chips where the stump was, easy to top up with soil if you’re replanting the area.
